D E A N   R I S K O

Dean Risko was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. He and his parents moved to Salt Lake City, Utah when he was 10 years old and it was there that he began to discover his love for music and Hip-Hop. Beginning with the b-boy culture then becoming accustomed to the art of rhyme which finally led to the discovery of his gift to sing and write. Building a name for himself as well as a following he continued to grow and change to become the artist he is today.

Risko has since moved to Los Angeles, California and teamed up with several emerging producers to hone is craft. The result is the “Trouble” EP – the first official release which showcases his singing, rapping and swagger. The “Trouble” EP, was released in Feb 2012, and to date has received critical and fan acclaim alike. The first two videos for “Trouble “and “Headcase” have reached a combined 30k views to date and climbing.

From touring the USA for various Dance and Music performances including SXSW in Austin Texas, making News appearances, receiving praise from local and international press such as URB.com, Supergoodmusic.com and bpmmag.co.za Dean Risko has made the rounds. Now a seasoned artist with a fierce vision and a dedication to his chosen profession he continues to make waves in the vast ocean called the Music Business.
