A P E K

Joshua Gilbert a.k.a APEK, recent winner of Hardwell original music competition, grew up in Palm Springs, and it was not until after graduating college and deciding not to attend law school, that he thought of making a career out of music and joined Icon Collective Production School. While at Icon he learned from some of the best producers and sound engineers including Brian Matrix and Steve Duda.

Recent graduates of ICON include MAKJ, Dillon Francis, and Protohype. APEK and his track ‘Hurricane’ was chosen as a Winner of Hardwell’s WMC Competition with Talenthouse, Wantickets, and Magnetic Magazine. Where he received exclusive access to the 2013 WMC Artist Series Event in Miami, FL and received personal feedback from the Revealed Records team and the artists personally. He also received exposure through Hardwell’s social media and Magnetic Magazine.

His follow up single ‘Your Heaven’ was featured on Entertainment Tonight, and was released exclusively on house.net, receiving the #1 spot on their Top 10 chart. Apek has already become a fan favorite in Los Angeles, and has played venues such as the Yost Theater, Create Nightclub, The Belasco, Luna Supperclub, Hard Rock Las Vegas, and The Avalon along side renowned names including Tom Fall, Hard Rock Sofa, Swanky Tunes, The Chainsmokers, Robbie Rivera, Congorock, Boys Noize, Fatboy Slim, Lucky Date, and Deorro.
